Self Archiving Policy
The TMP Universal Journal of Dental Research and Health encourages authors to share their research widely and allows self-archiving of their published work in institutional repositories or personal websites. This policy aims to support open access and facilitate the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
Preprint Policy
- Preprints Allowed: Authors are permitted to post their manuscripts on preprint servers prior to submission to the journal. Posting a preprint will not affect the consideration of the manuscript for publication.
- Preprint Citation: When submitting a manuscript that has been posted on a preprint server, authors should acknowledge the preprint and include a link to the preprint version in their submission.
- Preprint Update: Once the article is published in the journal, authors are encouraged to update the preprint with the final published version or a link to the published article.
Accepted Manuscript (Postprint)
- Author’s Accepted Manuscript: After peer review and acceptance, authors are allowed to archive the postprint version (the version after peer review but before final typesetting and formatting by the journal).
- Where to Archive: Authors may self-archive the accepted manuscript in institutional repositories, personal websites, or on academic networking platforms such as ResearchGate or Academia.edu.
- Embargo Period: There is no embargo period for archiving the accepted version; authors can immediately make the postprint available upon acceptance.
- Licensing: When archiving the accepted manuscript, authors should include a note stating that the manuscript has been accepted for publication in the TMP Universal Journal of Dental Research and Health.
Published Version
- Final Published Version: Authors are permitted to archive and share the final, published version (Version of Record) of their article.
- Where to Archive: The published version can be archived in institutional repositories, personal websites, or other open-access platforms. Authors are encouraged to include the DOI and link to the journal’s official website when sharing the final version.
- Licensing and Attribution: Articles published in the journal are made available under an open-access license (such as a Creative Commons license), and when archiving the final version, authors must include the appropriate license and full citation to the original publication in the journal.
Compliance with Funding Bodies
Authors whose work is funded by institutions or agencies with open-access mandates can comply with these requirements by self-archiving their manuscripts according to the terms outlined in this policy. Authors should check the specific policies of their funders to ensure compliance.
Acknowledgment
When self-archiving, authors must provide proper acknowledgment to the TMP Universal Journal of Dental Research and Health, including a full citation of the published article and a link to the final version on the journal’s website.
