Deposit Policy

The TMP Universal Journal of Dental Research and Health maintains a clear deposit policy to ensure the long-term preservation and accessibility of published research. This policy outlines the procedures and responsibilities regarding the deposit of articles published in the journal.

Article Deposits

  • Initial Deposit: Upon acceptance and publication of an article, the journal will deposit the final, formatted version of the manuscript in its designated digital archive to ensure long-term accessibility and preservation.

Institutional Repositories

  • Author Self-Archiving: Authors are encouraged to deposit their published articles in institutional repositories. They are permitted to archive the final version of their work, provided they adhere to the self-archiving policy set forth by the journal.
  • Timing of Deposit: Authors may deposit their articles in their institutional repositories immediately upon publication in the journal.

Open Access Compliance

  • All deposited articles will be available under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing for sharing, adaptation, and reuse of the material with proper attribution to the original authors.

Digital Preservation

  • The journal will employ a reliable digital preservation strategy to ensure the long-term availability of published articles. This includes regular backups and migration to new formats or platforms as necessary to avoid obsolescence.

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Deposit Notification: Authors should notify the journal if they have deposited their articles in an institutional repository or other platforms, including the relevant details about the deposit.
  • Compliance with Policies: Authors are responsible for ensuring that any deposits comply with the terms and conditions outlined by the journal and the licensing agreements.

Retention Period

  • Long-Term Availability: The journal will ensure that all published articles remain available indefinitely, in accordance with open access principles, unless otherwise directed by legal or institutional requirements.

Amendments to the Policy

  • The journal reserves the right to revise this Deposit Policy as needed to comply with changes in legal requirements, technological advancements, or evolving practices in scholarly publishing. Authors will be informed of any significant updates to the policy.

It is a strategy used by authors to make their scholarly works available on the open web--to provide open access. In this context, the contents are usually journal articles, conference or technical reports, theses and dissertations, or data sets. The purpose of archive is to secure access to content in the event of a publication being lost or discontinued. Archives will only release content when there is a “trigger event” such as confirmation that a journal is no longer in publication. Commonly used archives include Portico and CLOCKSS. We follow Sherpa/Romeo's green archiving policy. Both pre-print and post-print or publisher's version/PDF can be archived, without restrictions.
